Robert “Rabbit” Hare, of Russell Springs, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Russell County Hospital. He was 40 years of age.
Robert was born December 2, 1981, to David and Betty Popplewell Hare, the second baby ever born in Russell County Hospital. He was a U.S. Army veteran, who served in Baghdad at the fall of Saddam Hussein. Robert attended Liberty Baptist Church. He loved to go fishing and loved camping.
He is survived by his parents, David and Betty Hare; his wife, Heather Carr, of Russell Springs; his sons, Stephan Hare, of Somerset, Nicholas Hare and Braydon Hare, both of Russell Springs; his daughter, Alyssa Hare, of Somerset; his step-children, Jacklyn Burton and Kolby Burton, both of Russell Springs; his brother, Brandon (and Samantha) Hare, of Russell Springs; his sister, Shanda Hare, of Russell Springs; his paternal grandmother, Wanna B. Wilson, of Russell Springs; and his maternal grandfather, Bob Popplewell, of Russell Springs.
Robert is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, A.B. Hare; and his maternal grandmother, Rose Popplewell.
Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. CST, Monday, November 14, 2022, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Bro. Casey Baker officiating.
Visitation will be after 9:00 a.m. CST, Monday, until time for funeral services.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bernard Funeral Home to offset funeral expenses.
