Ronald Lee Powell, of Russell Springs, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was 75 years of age.
Born December 2, 1948, in Adair County, he was a son of the late William and Mabel McElroy Powell. Ronald was a former dispatcher for Kentucky State Police Post #15, in Lebanon. He spent many years as the primary caregiver to his mother, before she passed away. Ronald enjoyed collecting sport memorabilia, buying old cars to fix up, and just hanging out with his friends.
Survivors include his son, Chris Powell, of Russell Springs; three brothers, Billy Powell of Austin, Texas, Roger (and Kristie) Powell, of Alabama, and Mitchell Powell, of Atlanta, Georgia; and a sister, Belinda Moore, of Phoenix, Arizona.
Funeral services are 11:00 AM CST Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at Bernard Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Ridge Crest Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9:00 AM, up until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers or funeral gifts, the family suggests donations to offset the funeral expenses. These can be left at the funeral home.
