Sandra Mae (Pennington) Tucker

Sandra Pennington Tucker, of Russell Springs, passed away from this life Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.  She was 72 years of age.

Born January 17, 1952, in Russell County, she was a daughter of the late Hulon and Thelma Cuppernell Pennington.  Sandra was a seamstress and former employee of Sutton Shirt Factory, Russell Sportswear, Fruit of the Loom, and Osh Kosh.  She enjoyed making beautiful quilts, scrapbooking, and spending time with her family.  Sandra was a member of Russell Springs Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Ronnie Tucker, of Russell Springs; a son, Casey Tucker, of Russell Springs; a brother, Gary (and Pat) Pennington, of Shepherdsville; three sisters, Helen (and Alfie) Stargle, of Louisville, Pamela (and Jack) Frye, of Louisville, and Tammie (and Thomas) Bellow, of Bear, Delaware; two sisters-in-law, Jackie Nation, of Russell Springs, and Redith Withers, of Clarksville, Indiana; a daughter-in-law, Amy Tucker, of Crestwood; and a grandson, Sullivan Tucker.

In addition to her parents, Sandra is preceded in death by a son, Patrick Tucker, and a brother, Jerry Pennington.

Per Sandra’s wishes, cremation rites will be honored by Bernard Funeral Home.  No services are planned.
