Sondra Campbell Wooldridge, age 75 of Jamestown, passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2021, at Russell County Hospital following long battle with multiple sclerosis.
Born on September 7, 1945, Sondra was the daughter of the late James Edward and Florence Mann Campbell. She was born and raised in Creelsboro and enjoyed reliving and sharing stories from her home community. She was a dairy farmer and was retired from Fruit of the Loom. Sondra was very devoted to her family and was an avid history buff and a collector of Civil War books and memorabilia. She was a member of French Valley United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen (and Barry) Bradshaw and Kathie (and Kevin) Bernard, both of Russell Springs. She is survived by five grandchildren, Katlyn (and Byron) Raines, Logan (and Jalyn) Robertson, Steven Bernard, Dawson Bradshaw, and Sarah Bernard, all of Russell Springs; three great grandchildren, Layton and Levi Robertson and Bexley Raines, all of Russell Springs. Also surviving are two sisters; Judy (and Elvis) York and Ann McGowan; one brother, Daryl (and Paulette) Campbell; and one sister-in-law, Martha Faye (and Michael) Ayers. In addition, she is survived by one nephew, Gerald McGowan; and three nieces, Shelley McGowan, Melissa Estep, and Michelle Phillips. A great nephew, Cam Smith, also survives.
In addition to her parents, James and Florence Campbell, she was also preceded in death by her former spouse, Robert Glenn Wooldridge.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:30 PM on Thursday, July 8, 2021, at Bernard Funeral Home and prior to the funeral on Friday. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM on Friday, July 9, 2021, at Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Charles Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Russell County Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland or the charity of one’s choice.
Pallbearers will be Barry Bradshaw, Kevin Bernard, Logan Robertson, Byron Raines, Steven Bernard, and Dawson Bradshaw.
