Stanley C. Suffridge

Stanley C. Suffridge, age 78, of Jamestown, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2022, at Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center, in Somerset.

Born on November 29, 1943, in Hazard, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Stanley C. and Elizabeth Noble Suffridge. Stanley served honorably as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps as a young adult. He retired after thirty years with General Motors and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Stanley was a loving husband, father and grandfather and known as an all-around great guy.

Stanley is survived by his loving wife, Emilie Bennett Suffridge of Jamestown; two daughters, Melissa (Rob) Gates of Hamilton, Ohio and Rhonda Honaker of Jamestown; one brother, Edward Suffridge of Austin, Texas; two sisters, Mary Etta (Don) Spurlock of Lexington, and Brenda (David) Ramey of Middletown, Ohio; three grandchildren, Haley Suffridge of Hamilton, Ohio, Heidi (Seth) Oakes of Jamestown, and Matthew (Caitlyn) Honaker of Lexington; and four great-grandchildren, Titus Popplewell, Briar Oakes, Ava Pearson, and Bella Pearson.

Funeral services are 1:00 P.M. C.S.T. Monday, August 1, 2022, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Brother Bill Mullins and Brother Steve Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at Bernard Ridge Cemetery, with full military honors by the Russell County Honor Guard.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. C.S.T. until service time on Monday, August 1, 2022, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers for Stanley will be Matthew Honaker, Seth Oakes, Andy Bennett, Steve Bennett, Donavon Wilson, Rob Pryor, and Mike Mehi. Honorary pallbearers are Titus Popplewell and Briar Oakes.
