Tracey Lynn Pierce

Tracey Lynn Pierce, of Columbia, passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, in Danville.  She was 47 years of age.

Born on April 8, 1974, in Campbellsville, she was a daughter of Phyllis Sullivan Abrell and the late Elder Ray "Joe" Abrell. Tracy was a devoted wife and mother.  She was an educator at Adair County High School, where she dedicated much of her time to the youth that came into her classroom.  She was a member of Faith General independent Church. Tracey loved the Lord and always looked for ways to show His love to others.  She was a long-time member of the Lake Cumberland Area Emmaus and Chrysalis Community.  Tracey had a servant’s heart and her willingness to serve the Lord made it possible for her to touch the lives of those that were blessed to know her.  Her presence will be missed by her family, students, and many friends.

Survivors include her beloved husband, Mark Pierce; a son, Michael Pierce; a daughter, Tara Pierce; her mother, Phyllis Sullivan Abrell; and her sister, Vanessa Burton, all of Columbia.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM, Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Bro. Shane Gaskins, Bro. Jerry Smith, and Bro. Dickie Rogers officiating.  Burial will follow in the Brockman-Kerr Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, January 14, at Bernard Funeral Home, and after 8:00 AM on Saturday, until time of services.

Russell Wallace, Donald Galito, Jackson Romines, Justin Burton, Mitchell Morgan, and Ross Morgan will serve as Tracey’s pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy be made by donating to the Lake Cumberland Area Chrysalis Scholarship Fund.  These can be left at the funeral home or mailed to:  Vanessa Burton, LCAECC Treasurer, 820 Abrell Road, Columbia, KY 42728.
