Virgina (Aiken) Palmer, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on May 27, surrounded by the love of her family.
She was a devoted wife, and a proud mother to her two sons. Nothing brought her greater joy than spending time with her nine grandchildren, who filled her life with laughter, love, and treasured memories.
She had a deep love for family and enjoyed many happy times with those she loved most. Whether sitting around a campfire, or a card table sharing stories, or simply being together, she created lasting memories that her family will forever hold close to their hearts.
She will be remembered for her strength, kindness, warmth, and the unconditional love she gave to everyone around her. Nursing was her passion from being the Newport School Nurse, New London & Valley Regional Hospitals Management, and in retirement she loved being a school bus driver. Her presence touched many lives, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband (Wayne), her two sons (Ryan & Partner Jessica Dennis) (Bradley & Wife Amanda), nine grandchildren (Dylan, Caleb, Hayden, Bryce, Leah, Lilly, Logan, Gavin, Quinn) extended family, and many dear friends.
A grave side service will be held at Eastman cemetery, in Sunapee NH on June 13th at 11am. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Coffey’s Chapel, 3946 South Highway 76, Russell Springs KY, 42642 for the building fund in her memory. Though she is gone from our sight, she will forever remain in our hearts.
Local arrangements are entrusted to Bernard Funeral Home.
