William “Bill” Luttrell, of Russell County, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at Jean Waddle Care Center, in Somerset. He was 84 years of age.
Born on September 30, 1941, in Casey County, he was a son of the late Oris and Flora Wade Luttrell. Bill was a US Army Veteran, stationed in Germany, during the Vietnam War. He retired after 29 years as an assembly worker for General Motors and later was a school bus driver for the Russell County Board of Education for 9 years. Bill attended 3Trees Church.
Bill is survived by his wife, Sue Bryant Luttrell, of Russell County; his sisters, Naomie Bernard, of Dunnville, Gaye (and Steve) Montgomery, of Louisville, and Glenda (and Brett) Furnish, of Louisville; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by Audrey Luttrell and Gary Luttrell.
Funeral services are 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Brother Curt Hill and Brother Dustin Knight officiating. Burial will follow in Freedom Cemetery, in Adair County.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 P.M. on Friday, May 1, 2026. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 7:30 A.M. until the time of services.
Pallbearers will be Harold Richards, Cody Martin, Donnie Gilbert, Dale Roy, Brad Burton, and Jared Lee.
Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Bryant, Derek Lee, Chris Judd, and Danny Roy.
