Lindsay Pennington-Akers, 31, of Glasgow, Ky (formerly of Russell Springs) died

Monday, January 20, 2014 at the UK Hospital in Lexington. She was born November

1, 1982 in Somerset, Ky. She was a teacher and a member of the Russell Springs

First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Mitchell Pennington; maternal

grandparents, Sidney & Edna Doss; paternal grandparents, William (Boss) and

Leslie (Boo) Pennington; step grandparents, Bascum & Afteel Smith.

Survivors

husband: Jacky T. Akers, Glasgow

mother & step father: Charles B. & Pam Smith, Russell Springs

sister: Kacie Pennington Hood (Troy), Scottsville, Ky

2 step sisters: Angela (Mike) Ragle, Jamestown

                       Carla (Clint) Hart, Russell Springs

step brother: Bryan (Melissa) Smith, Russell Springs

Funeral service for Lindsay Pennington-Akers will be 11 AM. Thursday, January 23, 2014

at the Russell Springs First Baptist Church with Bro. Jeff Griffin, Bro. Jeff Kerr and

Bro. Josh Owens officiating. Friends may call after 5 PM. Wednesday

at the Church. Burial in the Smith Memorial Cemetery.
