Arvis Eugene Kearns, 84, of Russell Springs, died

Thursday, June 23, 2016 at the Hospice of Lake

Cumberland, Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset.

He was born August 4, 1931 in Russell County to the

late Johnnie MIlton & Jewell Andrew Kearns.

He was a automotive factory worker and a member of

Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by

4 sisters, Ovalene Stone, Dreuzella Cunningham, Suzie

Darlene Stegal, Gladys Marlene Kearns

Survivors

wife: Jennie Kearns, Russell Springs

4 children: Arvis Ray (Esther) Kearns, Stanton, Ky

                 Ruby Lynn Kearns, Columbia, Ky

                  Margaret Whitehead, Russell Springs

                  Alan F. (Nicole) Kearns, Concord, North Carolina

5 grandchildren: Natascha (Ryan) Hemmelgarn, Casey (Natasha)

   Kirk, April (Jacob) Jackson, Lili Kearns, Meghan Whitehead

5 great grandchildren: Jamie & Sophia Hemmelgarn, Ayden & Emily

   Kirk, Josephine Jackson

1 sister: Nellie Pennington

Funeral service for Arvis Eugene Kearns will be 10 AM.

Monday, June 27, 2016 at the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist

Church. Visitation after 6 PM. Sunday at Bernard Funeral Home

and after 8:30 AM. Monday at the church.

Interment in the Otha Helm Cemetery.
