Larry R. Bretz, 80, of Russell Springs, Kentucky, passed away Sunday,

July 2, 2017 at his residence.

He was born September 28, 1936 in Union city, Indiana, the son of the late

Emerson and Ethel (Woods) Bretz. He retired from Dayton Power & Light

after 40 years and served in the United States Army. He was a member of the

Covington Eagles and Coffey's Chapel United Methodist Church. He is

preceded in death by his parents; son Gary R. Bretz, in 1958; brother Charles

Bretz; sister, Elnora Stoltz; brother-in-law Bob Stoltz and a sister-in-law Peg Bretz.

He is survived by his wife: Betty Jane (Clark) Bretz, of Russell Springs, whom

he married May 5, 1956; sons and daughters-in-law Larry Paul and Cindy

Bretz, of Russell Springs; Terry Gene and Nina Bretz of Dayton, Ohio;

daughter Vicky Lynn Trueblood, of London, Ohio; grandchildren: Mark and

Rion, Allison, Michael amd Rachel, Rachel, Justin and Shannon; great

grandchildren Amelia Josselyn, Chloe, Liam, Olivia and Avery; step

grandchildren: Alvin Simmons and Summer Simmons; eight step great

grandchildren; nine step great great grandchildren; brother in law Kenneth

Clark; sister-in-law Sue Clark; numerous nieces, nephews and friends

Services will take place Friday, July 7, 2017 at 2 PM. at Zechar Bailey

Funeral HOme, with Pastor Todd Reish officiating. Burial will follow in

Greenville Cemetery. Family will receive friends noon-2 PM. Friday at the

funeral home. Veteran's graveside services will be conducted by the

Greenville Veterans Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to the

American Cancer Society. Condelences for the family may be expressed
